Fake deals and deals for fakes: Black Friday 2024
As November approaches, millions of us are gearing up for what has become the requisite day to worship at the altar of consumerism —Black Friday. This year’s “shopping holiday” comes unusually late in the month (Nov. 29), which will create a condensed holiday shopping season leading up to Christmas — in other words, we’re gonna be even more desperate eager to snag a bargain than usual. Global online sales this year are expected to top £61.5 billion.
But before you rush to your favorite retailers or “add to cart” online, know that not every Black Friday deal is what it seems. In fact, you may not be getting a deal at all.
